rons Systems Conducts EMS Seminar in Shenzhen, China - 'Creating Business Opportunities and Solutions in the Electronics Manufacturing Industry with eTrons Systems' Services'

Mountain View (Dec 4, 2000) eTrons Systems (Hong Kong) Limited successfully conducted a one-day seminar on December 4, 2000 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Shenzhen, China for over 150 Chinese electronic component manufacturers and debuted TradeMX, its B2B e-marketplace for the electronics manufacturing industry.

The seminar was met with great enthusiasm from the participants, and many manufacturers registered to become part of eTrons Systems' network of suppliers. This pool of suppliers will greatly strengthen the company's supplier resource base in Asia, especially for custom parts and will allow for an unlimited range of parts that buyers can locate on TradeMX.

The seminar was conducted in conjunction with participating partners from IBM China, Symphonic and SecuGen, who respectively introduced their state-of-the-art computer and software technology, cutting edge telecommunication technology and the most advanced security hardware, which together with the best Internet technology and
e-solutions from
eTrons Systems, would help the attendees to switch to e-procurement easily and quickly and make their companies run more efficiently by using eTrons' TradeMX portal.

eTrons Systems' President, Mr. Nicky Wu, opened up by sharing the story of eTrons Systems' evolution, which started from an idea on a blank sheet of paper to a 160 pages working specification. He also demonstrated to the audience how an e-marketplace could create unlimited business opportunities by increasing order volumes and profit margins.

Mr. Edward Liu, VP of Sales and Business Development at ViaSystems, was the guest of honor. Mr. Liu, with over 16 years of global procurement experience, vividly pointed out that as a purchasing professional, it is critical and extremely advantageous to use e-procurement in today's buy/sell trading activities to gain a leading edge over the competition. E-procurement is certainly the direction for the future of successful companies.

Mr. Alan Kan, Managing Director of eTrons Systems' Hong Kong/China operations, introduced the values and benefits of TradeMX versus the conventional way of buying and selling in the EMS industry. eTrons Systems also paves the highway for Chinese electronic component manufacturers to become eTrons Systems' supplier base that will cater to the needs of the rapidly expanding EMS market on a global basis. Mr. Kan emphasized that Chinese electronics manufacturers can generate more business by opening up their supplier network to the world by joining eTrons Systems' world-class
e-marketplace.

The audience was greatly impressed and responded that eTrons Systems' e-solution, business model and domain experience were the best they had seen. Eighty percent of the participants were interested in using eTrons Systems' suite of products and solutions. About fifty percent said they would use the Internet as a trading platform within three months and three-quarters of the audience expressed that they needed eTrons Systems' professional consulting services and resources to expand to the international market.

Ginna Li, one of the participants and the Manager of Genuine International Limited, said this after the seminar: "eTrons Systems provides a practical and economical solution for the e-commerce industry. There is no up front charge and the running cost is insignificant compared to the overall benefits of time saved and higher profits."

eTrons Systems' Asia-Pacific presence spans across Hong Kong, China and Singapore and will continue to spread all across the continent. Timely seminars will be conducted to showcase TradeMX and its related products and eTrons Systems' professional software services to expand the network of customers, partners and suppliers to make eTrons Systems the most comprehensive e-solution provider in the global marketplace.
