10/23/00 Mountain View (October
23, 2000) The affordability of computer technology, the maturity
of the internet, and the projected growth for business-to-business (B2B)
e-commerce in the New Economy fueled the demand for e-procurement and
e-marketplace products to help companies in Asia to increase their efficiency
and competitiveness in order to revive the industry's economy, particularly
in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) sector. Such increasing demand
has sparked eTrons Systems, Inc., a world-class B2B EMS solution provider
of an array of neutral and comprehensive end-to-end product offerings
and professional consultant services, and headquarters in Mountain View,
California, to establish a permanent office in Singapore to help buyers
and sellers of electronic parts and components in the Asia Pacific and
ASEAN Region to boost their sales. The newly set up office
is located in Techlink building at Kaki Bukit, just a 10 minute drive
either from the Changi Airport, or the central district. Singapore will
be an ideal location to support the EMS industry among the ASEAN countries. "We expect that the
Singapore office will also be acting as a hub in providing professional
services to the Asia Pacific," said Mr. Nicky Wu, President of
eTrons Systems.
"This office will work closely with our newly inaugurated eTrons
Systems Hong Kong
office which is aggressively helping manufacturers in Hong Kong and
China to refine their manufacturing process by providing the right process,
product, professional services and partnership in place." "Our move into the
Asian scene demands the top people in the EMS industry to manage and
grow our business in the Asia Pacific and ASEAN regions," Mr. Wu
said. "Today, we are excited to announce the appointment of three
EMS industry gurus in Asia: Mr. LK Wong and Mr. Gabriel Ng to head our
Singapore Office, and Mr. Alan Kan, our Hong Kong Office. They have
a combined 50 years of EMS industry experience from Asia and globally
in quality management, manufacturing operations, material management
and purchasing, all are key to the success of today's EMS industry." Mr. Gabriel Ng, Director
